Facebook Vanity URL For Users And Fan Pages - What It Means For You?

Finally facebook has arrived to provide a  vanity url for it’s users and fan pages to get a real identity that was lacking till now as current facebook user or fan page profile url was based on the unique integer number instead of a username or brandname or groupname. According to facebook blog all users will be able to choose their user names starting from Saturday, June 13 [12:01 a.m. EDT] on a first-come, first-serve basis for their profile and the facebook pages that you administer by visiting www.facebook.com/username/ site.

One great thing about this new feature is that it will help facebook users and brands fan pages to easily identify their profile, share it with others and helps to improve search rank in search engine result page (SERP) due to the SEO Juice passed from facebook.com [while ranking the search results for search queries most search engines uses the presence of search query keywords  in the URL as one of the important factors].
