{Relationships start with social conversations}Let’s get the basic lingo right - here we go!.
Wikipedia define Social Media as “primarily Internet-based tools for sharing and discussing information among human beings”;
However a quick look into the words in Social Media can give you more meaningful definition - Media is basically a platform to express something so adding Social (anybody can share,write and discuss) makes it a platform for people to generate , discuss and share content using different technologies (like forums,blogs,social networks,professional networks,micro-blogging sites , social bookmarking sites and podcasts etc) available on Web.
It is different from any traditional media platforms ( tv,print &radio etc) because it empowers people for many-way communication allowing a collaborative way to engage in conversations by producing , editing and sharing information with others on Web.
